About Party House Records

Party House Records is a UK-based Indie/DIY label specialising in Punk, Ska and Oi. It was originally created to release bands in the greater London area but has expanded over the years to an established name in the UK underground punk scene. The idea behind Party House Records is to bring together great bands that normally would not get heard and give them the opportunity to break themselves into the UK and European music scene. With a team of around 6 people working full time, all with different backgrounds in the music industry, we cover every aspect of a band's operational structure (i.e. booking, promotion, management, press, merch, distribution).

Joining the label is like joining a large family of bands. Each band can easily contact each other for trading gigs/tours and reach out to each other's different fans. This enables smaller bands to go out there and play their music across the the entire nation. We have many contacts throughout the UK and Europe and will be able to help bands as much as humanly possible.

However, joining the label does not mean a free ride. We only work with bands that want to work for themselves. We will not work with bands expecting to rely solely on us for everything. The music industry is a hard and cutthroat business and we have absolutely no patience for time-wasters. If your band only plays around 10 / 20 gigs a year then there really is no point for us to release your material. We only want to work with the bands that will put their souls into their music and their band.

The UK's music industry has been through many changes over the past 10 years and with an ever growing digital age we have tried to accomodate to these needs by working towards the release of an MP3 compilation CD with 200+ unique songs and artists. With bands from the UK, Europe, Japan, Australia and America, and exclusive tracks from big names including Reel Big Fish, the release is set to make Party House Records a truly international name in the underground music scene.

Over the past year we have teamed up with other UK labels such as Triumphant Sound Records (10 Past 10 Records) and Malicious Intent Records. Not only does this allow us to work with a greater range of artists and musical genres, but also gives us the opportunity to help our bands reach a larger audience in the UK and around Europe. Through Triumphant Sound Records, Party House is distributed by Pinnacle Entertainment (the largest independent distributor in the UK) giving all of our bands an opportunity to get their music out and heard.

Additionally, Party House Records has built an exclusive partnership with ButtonLair.co.uk, one of the UK's leading merchandise suppliers. This has enabled an entirely new service for all of the bands on the label, with many interesting developments expected over the coming year.

From the beginning, the idea of the label has been to create a 'collective' of bands enabling them to help themselves succeed. We will always be in this for the music, the bands and the fans, and will continue to do as much as we can to bring together and support Ska, Punk, Oi, Streetpunk and Dub bands from across the UK.
